Nepridiprav fooled the same drug test as Mesec, on camera

Aleksandar Repić showed on camera how to cheat a urine drug test, then cheated one himself in front of a doctor.

Last week Luka Mesec published a lab report showing no trace of cocaine, or of nine other groups of banned substances, in his urine. Ljubljana mayoral candidate Aleksandar Repić, better known as Nepridiprav, answered in his own way: he recorded a video that tries to show such a test is pointless, because he fooled it himself in front of the camera. The video, which we hold in full in our newsroom, is the main source of this article.

"I'm making this video to show you what nonsense urine tests are and that you are doing them in a slapdash way. [...] It makes no sense at all to do a urine test, because a urine test shows maybe 48 hours at most." (translated)

The procedure is simple, says Repić, because he perfected it in prison: a small balloon of urine that you carry against your body all day, under your underwear, so it stays at body temperature, and a sharpened cotton stick you use to pierce it in front of the doctor. In the video Repić pays a slapdash visit to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, the same one where Mesec took his test, and films the whole procedure, including the doctor's warning that she has to be present during sample collection precisely because of such attempts.

During the preparations the video briefly turns into pure nonsense: it inserts a little song about "Martin's willy" that grows "as big as Triglav" (Slovenia's highest mountain), complete with its own meme graphic:

"You know, we've already had masters who unscrewed the siphon. The one who has something to hide usually comes prepared, right?" (translated)

The institute was not thrilled. Its head, Tomaž Zupanc, told Info360 that, given the media circus around Mesec's test, it was to be expected that someone would try to "check" the system. Repić had no permission to film on the institute's premises, nor the consent of the doctor, who is recognisable in the video, so the case has now been taken over by the legal service of the Faculty of Medicine. What measures will follow is not yet clear.

According to our information, the video has meanwhile disappeared from Repić's profile. The message was clear all the same: a week after Mesec used a pot to prove his innocence, Repić used the same pot to prove that the pot proves nothing.
